Agile Development of Custom Travel Booking Platform (Web & Mobile)

As the Technical Project Manager, I led the Agile development of a bespoke travel booking platform, encompassing both a web application and a native mobile app, for a new travel startup. This project presented the challenge of delivering a comprehensive solution within a constrained timeline and budget while accommodating evolving business requirements.

To address the fluid scope and emergent needs, I employed Scrum methodologies, establishing a cadence of two-week sprints and facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. I worked closely with the client to create a prioritized product backlog, ensuring that the development team focused on high-value features that aligned with the startup's core business goals.

We embraced an iterative development approach, prioritizing the delivery of a minimum viable product (MVP) within the first two months. This allowed the client to begin generating revenue and provided valuable user feedback to guide subsequent development. We utilized continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure frequent releases and rapid iteration based on client input.

I also fostered a culture of collaboration and transparency, encouraging open communication between the development team and stakeholders. This fostered trust and ensured that the project remained on track despite the evolving scope.

The successful launch of this custom booking platform within budget and timeline constraints showcased my expertise in Agile project management, particularly in navigating ambiguous requirements and managing changing priorities. This project reinforced the value of Agile methodologies in delivering high-quality software solutions in dynamic environments.
